It's next to impossible to find out how certain items appeared in the 4th century. So far I have failed to find examples of: shovels, cradles, incense burners, candles/candleholders, pitchers (ceramics tend to be in tiny pieces), beds, chairs, and horseshoes, for starters.
On the other hand, museums are thrilled to present even the tiniest bit of something made of gold. While in Dublin, I saw many intricately worked bowls and goblets, including the Gundestrap Cauldron that inspired this one.
